Write for us:
Here at Gone With The Movies we currently have a number of writing positions avaliable, and we are always on the lookout for talented, dedicated people to join our team. Whether it be writing news, articles, reviews or interview we may have a position for you!
This role involves reviewing all types of movies. It could be that of reviewing a new film released at your local cinema, a press release or advanced showing. Or even just a past or new film released on DVD or Blu-Ray. You should be able to engage the readers with your tone and style of writing - writing about technical details aswell as the art of film and cinema.
Whilst our feature section isn’t currently updated as regularly as other sections, we’re interested in a number of possible inclusions; such as interviews with people in the industry, top tens, comparisons and discussions about film trends/format issues, cinema quality, or Home Theatre information; and would be willing to consider any feature ideas put forward, as we are looking for captivating and original articles relating to any and all aspects of film, that will appeal to a broad range of readers.
Just because the website itself is categorized, it doesn’t necessarily mean our writers have to be; as we’re more than happy to consider people that are looking to write for more than one section of the site; meaning that reviewers can easily write feature articles, or update the news section, should the need arise, or mood take.
As all writing positions are unpaid, any applicant must have a keen interest in film; be committed to providing a certain level of accurate and engaging content, and have regular access to the internet and email facilities.
To apply for a writing position with Gone With The Movies, send an example of your work; reviewers should send in a detailed review of any DVD or Cinema release (in the style of a Gone With The Movies review), while feature writers should send a feature article; to email@example.com
