What to expect from 'The Walking Dead' season five:

*May Contain Spoilers*

The Walking Dead has shown both small scenes that dragged right through to unforgeable moments. Like most, we are hooked on it either way and cannot wait to see more!

In the recently released trailer of The Walking Dead Season five (shown at the SDCC), it explains more than we probably need to know – bordering on the spoiler alert warning.

In the trailer, it appears that the group breakout of Terminus after their capture in the season four finale. They then head up to the new location of Washington DC, where Eugene (introduced in season four) hopefully hands over the cure for to the disease. Yes, that means that not a lot of time is spent in Terminus at all. So much for that entire season four, and 13 hours of build-up…

It also snippets that Beth (who went missing at the end of season four) is alive and okay. Carol and Tyreese are revealed to still be out there also. What we would like to see happen in season five is another type of CDC establishment, but in DC, to give us some answers – How it started? How long has it been? The last thing we want is for the show to end up like Lost. Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham commented on the season’s ethos - “We have to protect Eugene at all costs. He is the mission. At all costs, as in as much crow as I have to eat”. Anyway - here is the trailer, look yourself;

Also on our mind are the characters that possibly get killed off. Our bets are on Rosita to go first, as she has not played a huge part thus far in the series. Another is that could get killed off is Tara, mainly because she is not yet seen as a fan-favourite. But she could still develop her relationship with Glen further.

In a recent interview with producer Robert Kirkman, he said “It would be nice to get everyone back together back again, but that remains to be seen.” Our prediction is that when Rick’s group arrives at DC it will be overrun with walkers and will no longer be a safe zone as described. Thus creating a new twist and adventure which leads to the series origins in Atlanta with a thrilling modern city landscape. Let’s hope anyway!

The Walking Dead Season 5 returns to television screens on October 12th 2014.
